Mugen 5 Rev. C

The award-winning Mugen 5 CPU cooler is available in the revised revision C. The new features include an improved mounting system, which now offers full compatibility with Intel’s LGA-1700 socket, and a new Kaze Flex II PWM fan. In addition to a change of design, the Kaze Flex II PWM fan has an extended control range from 300 to 1,500 rpm. This enables higher cooling performance, while an adapted fan frame ensures increased airflow. A self-contained liquid bearing (Sealed Precision FDB) and rubberized decouplers enable extremely smooth running with an average service life of 120,000 hours. The heatsink itself remains unchanged from its successful predecessor. The asymmetrical structure leaves enough space for free access to the memory banks. With a height of 154.5 mm the cooler fits easily into most standard cases. As usual, the six copper heatpipes and the polished, high-quality copper baseplate are lavishly nickel-plated.


Asymmetric design

The heatpipes of the Mugen 5 Rev. C are gently sloped backwards so that the radiator is not centered directly above the baseplate, but slightly offset. This design offers excellent access to memory banks and enables the use of RAM modules with high heatsinks. The cut-out fins on the back allow compatibility with LGA2011 / LGA 2066 motherboards.

Kaze Flex II 120 PWM Fan

The Mugen 5 Rev. C is equipped with a new Kaze Flex II PWM fan featuring an increased control range of 300 to 1500 RPM. The self-contained liquid bearing (Sealed Precision FDB) reduces friction and wear to a minimum with the help of a special oil film and ensures a high level of stability and an average lifespan of 120,000 hours. Rubberized pads have a decoupling effect and prevent the transmission of any vibrations.

Hyper Precision Mounting System IV

The Mugen 5 Rev. C CPU Cooler uses the updated H.P.M.S IV mounting system which offers full LGA 1700 and AM5 compatibility. A pre-assembled mounting bar with spring-loaded screws ensures balanced pressure distribution. During the installation process, the universal backplate is securely fixed to the mainboard by rubberized spacers, making the process considerably easier.

Dual Fan Mount Structure

Like its predecessors, the Mugen 5 Rev. C was designed to mount a second fan (not included). This leads to an increased cooling performance by making use of the push / pull principle. A second set of fan-clips is included.
