Default Shuriken, P4 prescott , Gigabyte GA-8IG1000

Do you think it will be compatible with MB Gigabyte GA-8IG1000
And will work fine with P4Prescott 3GHz ( 110W max )?

I hope it will work

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it'll work better for you than it did for me with my P4 Northwood 3 Ghz (S478). Even undervolted this CPU is hard to keep cool. My tries with Ninja failed - full load made the system reset due to overheating (tested with Orthos Prime). The Northwood is 95W max. IIRC.

Bye Oli

Hy,

the Shuriken Cooler ist designed for 130W TDP. In this case the Prescott 3ghz should be no prob for this Cooler.

when i look at compatibility list i see one and there are only 4 boards...

Mine MB has 35 mm high chipset passive (I think this wont be problem) and capacitors near the aseembly kit (dont know exactly how high they are... maybe 20-25 mm)

Hello JuriX,

it's quite easy, why the compa-list is that short: The list just doesn't make any sense because almost every board is compatible.

Cheers,
Stefan
