Default Shuriken & AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+?

Hello,

I'm very interested to buy Scythe Shuriken, but i was wondering is shuriken powerful enough to cool AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ (Socket 939), Thermal Power 110W?

Thanks very much for any information!

Hello Jukkis,

normally, the Shuriken should have the capacity to cool down your 4800+. Are you planning to do OC-experiments or do you let the CPU run at its usual speed?

Cheers,
Stefan

I think that usual speed will be enought. I Just got this dualcore CPU and i'm happy with it, only the heatsink that came with it is sooo loud.

Thanks for reply!

Hello Jukkis,

actually the Shuriken is built for a maximum of 150 Watt thermal power, so it should work.

Have fun with our Shuriken!

Cheers,
Stefan

Jepp. Then 54°C is nice - you have a lot on the upside when its getting warmer inside of your room.

Cheers,
Stefan
