I bought a KAMA-PWM92 to check out it's performance. I expected to build a pwm controller, because my mobo does not have 4-pin fan connectors. I found that the chip on my mobo can provide pwm outputs,
but there are two frequencies available. (Which might explain the note on the KAMA package about different BIOS producing different fan speeds.) Can you tell me what frequency range, and pulse-width range, the KAMA-PWM is designed to work with? No hurry, no worries, Ed |

Hi Ed!
I hope this info will answer your questions. The PWM Duty Cicle is P8. ![]()

Danke sehr,
1) I am still concerned about the pulse frequency. The W83627EHF data sheet says that CPUFANOUT is divided down from either 180 KHz or 24 MHz. Which means the fan gets less than 1 KHz or as much as 50 KHz. What is best for a KAMA-PWM? 2) I also assume the fan is expecting 3.3V. Will it take 5V without damage? Thanks again, Ed PS -- Sorry for the duplicate post. Why yes, I am a newbie. |

Hi there!
Here are the answers in short. 1) The range is 18~32KHZ 2) The voltage range is 2.0~3.6V, so please don't exceed 3.6V. I hope this could help you, thanks a lot! ![]()
