Exclamation Orochi for solcket 1150

Hello,
i would like to use my old orochi 1st revision (SCORC-1000 - Orochi: CPU Kühler, Lüfter, Lüftersteuerung, PC Netzteile von Scythe) passive with socket 1150 to cool down an i7 4770.
Is this a good solution? and is the product compatible with the socket?

I red about the mounting clips SCCLV-1366 and SCCL4-1366, but i don't know which solution meets my requirement, if one.

Thanks.

Hello goul,

well - to cool your CPU with the Orochi is possible (active). I can't say it, that is possible to cool it passive (that is necessary of the installed case fans and the distance of them to heat sink).
You need for socket 115X motherboards compatibility the Mugen 2 LGA1156 Conversion Kit / Clips. Also possible would the SCCL4-1366 - the Orochi have a very high weight. That's the reason why we don't recommend this clips for the Orochi. Push-Pin are very "tough", but I wouldn't mount the Orochi with the SCCL4-1366.

Select the Orochi please (I remember me, there is only the Orochi Rev.B at the list). But that isn't bad. Please note in the "Problem description:" field, that you have the first version of the Orochi.

How much it cost and how high the shipping is, I dont' know .... I guess that can tell you the Scythe ...

Mugen3Dirk;
Hello and thank you.
I sent message to them, but as I have big urge to get my Orochi in use, I thought to drop a message in here too and try to have double possibility to find solution. Orochi is 7 years old now, but as its been so good, I wish to have it in use. After 7 years manufacturer/ representative may not have help on this, but someone may have ideas. At least I have tried )

Regards,

:J

You will get an answer of the Scythe Support Monday morning. My last information's are that the Mugen 2 LGA1156 Conversion kit allows the installation onto 115X motherboards of this cooler.
