Default Ninja Anniversary (all copper) compatibility?

Hi,

I searched around a bit, but couldn't find any motherboard compatibility info on the Anniversary edition Ninja. I'm planning to pick up one of these soon, and I'm in doubt as to which motherboard I should get. I had my mind on the Asus P5B, which is compatible with the regular Ninja, but then I realised that the P5B-MX has all the features I want, but is a lot cheaper. It's a micro-ATX board, though, so I'm not sure if it's gonna fit the Ninja.

Any information if it'll fit on the P5B-MX?

The lower half of Ninja Cu is identical to that of Ninja Mini.

So... is that compatible with the P5B-MX? The P5B-MX isn't in the mini's compatibility list either.. neither listed as compatible or incompatible.

Hi there.

Domovoi: The Ninaj CU is pretty much dientical with Ninja Mini, that's correct. So to keep it short, the compatibility of these 2 is better than the normla NInja PLUS. P5B-MX looks really easy for compatibility. I see no problems there, so the chance of compatibility is 95% I'd say.

Post images if you can confirm, I would really appreciate that =D

Hello

Do you think that the Ninja Cu Anniversary edition will be compatible with my Asus A8N-E (socket 939) motherboard ?

The Ninja Plus Rev B is not totally compatible ( Ninja PLUS Rev. B Compatibility List ) because of the capacitors... I hope there is no such problem with the Ninja Copper

Thank you

Hi Aky,

Asus A8N-E should be fine with Ninja CU CPU Cooler. The problem with that Mobo were concerning the capacitors close to the socket. It should be fine with the Ninja Mini and Ninja CU. The 2 models have a different Heatpipe-allocation.

Hi, thanks for the information. I guess I'm going to go ahead and give it a try, since I'm cramped for space in that case anyway and the micro-ATX board would give me some room. As soon as I have it installed, I'll post a picture of the CU on the P5B-MX.
