Default replacing Ninja SCNJ-1000 with Mini Ninja - question

Hi everyone!

I was referred here by guys from Xtremesystems.
I sent the inquiry through the Scythe website, but I'll post it here, hope someone answers quickly.

is it possible to replace Ninja SCNJ-1000 with Mini Ninja without having to remove the backplate? That is, to use SCNJ's "mounting bars" to mount Ninja or...if necessary...to install Mini Ninja's "mounting bars".
The basic problem is: do I HAVE to remove the SCNJ's backplate?

Hi there IvanIvankovic!

Greets to the guys from Xtremesystems

If I understood well, you do not actually want to remove the backplate because you glued it and it is all sticky, right?

The Bars and the backplate are same as in our "Universal Retention Kit", which means that you can mount actually every Scythe CPU Cooler with that. Just use the Socket 478 clips and you can hook up Ninja Mini, Mugen or other on-market Scythe CPU Cooler.

I hope this info could help you.

Cheers

right. I really want to avoid removing the glued backplate because it fits perfectly.

Nah, then my colleaugues or I replied to you. I prefer the forum, it takes less time to reply and I have a better overview like that. But it works both way as you can see.

Cheers,
Andy
