Default how the remove ninja 1000P (the old one)

something in my pc is broken, i checked almost everything. so the last thing to try is to check both mainboard and cpu.

mainboard is a asrock 939dual-sata2 with scythe ninja 1000p (the very first model). unfortunately i cant find the packaging (and the install instructions) anymore. on the website there is only a pdf for the revision.

can somebody tell me how to remove the ninja? do i have to dismount the mainboard?

there are 4 "clips" (sorry for my bad english it's hard to find the technial terms for something you wouldnt even now how to name in your nature language ). if i push one of them a "nose" at the retention bracket is lifting. but i can't figure out the mechanism to actually release the clip.

any help? please

Hi CMI!

The mounting is based on the socket 478, which is pretty old. The mechanism is basically easy to understand. There are 4 brackets around the fins of the Ninja PLUS. If you push them they go into the direction of the Motherboard. This is how you can release the cooler. The clips act like a hook, which means you need to push the bracket and then make the hooking part move away from the cooler. Ideally you should take out the Motherboard first, then you can easily see how to remove the cooler.
The manual for your version can be downloaded from our server.

Greetings
