Default E8400

Hey Guys,

I'm new here, so Happy newyear and best wishes.

I got my E8400 Running at 1,28 Volt, NB volt at auto, 4GHZ. only my Scythe Mugen is running at 980 RPM, i want it to run higher, but how do i do that? software or through bios?

My specs;

Antec 900
E8400
2X HD4850
Zalman 1000Watt
Scythe Mugen

got 2 front intake fans on medium, i got a 200mm top runing high and 120mm on back, side 120mm on high.

Cards dont get hotter then 51C*,
CPU gets full load Prime95 60C*

I hope you guys can help increase my Mugen speed, and tell me how.

With 60C* max on full load there is no need to increase the rpm for the Mugen's fan!

It is possible that your Mugen fan in running within the +/- 10% tolernace these fans come with. This means some of them run at 1320 and others run at 1080 rpm while the rest is pending between these values. The rest could be unprecise measuring by your mainboard.

But as I already siad - with your temps I wouldn't be alarmed in any way. YOu could check if your mainboard supports speed regulation of CPU fan via voltasge control. If yes, you have to disable this feature or set it to MAX to enable full fan speed.

Cheers, Oli

Yes i know.
But i dont want my CPU to get hotter. 950RPM is not that high, it should ran higher, i dont know if the Scythe admins know how to fix?
Becuase i want to go higher, 4,25/4,50 and i should have a good cooling, cause my room is also hot, because its freezing outside.

Not yet.
So i go into bios, to hardware monitor?
I only see Q fan control, if i put it down, my PC Probe 2 will give me a alarm, i dont know why.
I will check.

If you have "Q fan" then you have Asus and Asus doesn't have voltage regulation for fans - only PWM regulation which Asus calls Q fan. So we can forget about this being the reason or your fan running at such low rpm.

Just to check that your CPU fan connector (4-pin) is alright please attach the fan to one of the system fan sockets (3-pin) and read out the rpms with Everest or a tool which displays all fo the fan connectors.

If the fan continues running at much less than 1080 rpm (which would be the maximum of tolerance the fans should have) it is possible that your fan is faulty.
