Default Scythe Mugen 2 Rev B + GA-EX58-UD5

I read somewhere that the Scythe Mugen 2 Rev B. was compatible with the GA-EX58-UD5. Only i didn't check well, because i didn't check on the forum here. I already bought a Mugen 2 RevB. So can i use it without damaging the motherboard?

Although it fits and all, my question is about the backplate. I saw in a lot of other motherboards there was nothing coming out in the back (little pins) and the backplate was not pushing against something.
Well i have this:

Can i let the backplate push against those pins that stick out (don't know the right name for that)?

^Looks like all memory slots could be used but I think if you placed a fan by the ram side it would cover over them. Ram like normal heat spreaders should be fine but ram with high heat spreaders could be a problem.
