Default couple of questions

I have the mugen 2 and have had it for about a month or so. The temps concern me a bit, as it idles at 41 to 43 and at load 65 to 68.

I was wondering where exactly should i have the fan facing, as of right now i have it facing towards my PCI-E slots on my board. ALSO should the fan be flowing in or blowing out

Also on the back plate i see some people didnt even bother putting in those 4 screws towards the middle of the back plate, that hold the cpu door thing.. im wondering was that not necessary???

right now i have it running at 1.35v so my ram can run at 1600mhz and me changing those volts bumped up the temp a Celsius or 2

so im wondering best placement for the fan and if those screws are necessary.

specs

asus p6t deluxe v2
antec1200 case
corsair dominator ram
gtx 260 216 core
2 1tb wd caviar drives
corsair 750w psu

Which CPU? Read your temps with CoreTemp or RealTemp.

The fan works best when blowing through the cooler and blowing towards an outtake fan. Basic principle with a tower cooler is front in, back out. Depending on the layout of your case you could also realize a bottom to top airflow. Or a mixture of both.

The Antec 1200 which I already use offers both possibilities although I disabled the Big Boy cooler in the top of the 1200 and just use a simple front to back airflow.

i7 920 as for the cpu

so it would be best to let it draw air from the front fans, and have the other fan on the back side where there is the exhaust blowing it out?

Yes. Antec 1200 is perfect for this.

Try to get a horizontal airflow from the top drive cage through the additional inner fan holder delivered with Antec 1200 through the CPU cooler and then out on the backside via the two 120/140mm fans.

I'd recommend that you try to disable the Big Boy fan, rotate the Mugen by 90 degrees and install the way I proposed to compare the temps.

The fan would be installed on the side of the rotated Mugen where the RAM slots are and would blow through the cooler.

Your recent setup is some kind of mixture between horizontal and vertical airflow. As every setup stiuation differs you should really compare different airflow principles to find the most suitable for your particular system.

Alright ill try it that way, but wouldnt the big fan at the top be of some help exhausting the warm air out??

The effect of those very big fans isn't always as expected. A good directed airflow with 120mm fans can be much more effective than a single 200mm fan. It depends on your particular situation. So just try it.
