Default Questions about washers during Mugen 2 installation

OK apparently I'm a complete newb when it comes to installing this thing on my LGA-1366 EVGA x58 SLI-LE mobo, but I can't figure out what washers to use and where, and I'm scared I'm going to short out and destroy the motherboard by doing it wrong.

The directions state multiple times to save and re-use the 'original washers' on the motherboard. But my motherboard has no washers at all when I remove the CPU cover and backplate. What does this mean?

The other question I have is regarding the metal vs. plastic washers. Which ones go where? From what I can deduce, it seems like the plastic washers should be between the foam-padded backplate and the motherboard at the hole marked (f) in the instructions; the plastic ones actually making contact with the back of the motherboard. Am I correct? And then the metal washers go through the same hole, but on the opposite side of the backplate?

But then there are still 4 more screws, the longer ones that attach on the outer corners of the backplate (hole (a)) and screw into the metal bracket. Why are there no plastic washers for these screws?

Hope someone can make heads or tails of this post, but it's about as confusing as the instruction manual was to me. What would help clear things up immensely in the instructions would be to say "4. Place the Insulation Washer between the Back-plate and Motherboard through hole (f) on back-plate." The simple act of stating which holes each screw and washer go through would help alot. Or even just a bigger illustration of the install process, taking up a half or full page, instead of the little corner it does now.
