Hello bricabrac,
actually Andy ("Shinigami") is sitting in the same office like me and we have been discussing shortly, if the Mine should fit onto that board. We both think, that it should fit, but there is still a small risk, that the capacitors were build onto the board a bit to high due to fault tolerances during manufacturing. Cheers, Stefan

bricabrac: No change, the stock was almost gone, and USA does not have any Mine CPU Cooler at this moment. So at this point, the base plate is as it was shown on our website. You can never be sure about the capacitors, but we tried to reduce the chance of incompatibility for newer Coolers. Mine can not be modified anymore and if you are unsure, you probably should go for a different cooler =)
hiroshiga is in the same office, he belongs to us =)

I just bought the MIME to fit the above board as noticed it was on the compatability list in the forum.
However I cant fit the cooler so it blows to the rear of the case, I have to mount it blowing upwards. rotated 45 degrees. The reason for this is a capacitor on the board is fouling the push through clip in that corner. On this board ( REV 1.2 ) there are also capacitors / chokes that are about 1.5mm too tall to allow the heatsink base to sit correctly. You will know it wont fit when you hear ferite grinding on steel, that will be one of the chokes being swuished The Mime does in fact fit rotated 45 degrees so its blowing upwards and there is no difference between it blowing to the rear on my deceased gigabyte P35c DS3R that the MSI replaced and blowing upwards on the msi P35 Neo2 FR /FIR its still 33c idle and 46 full load.I have marked the offending cap on the attached image. Brilliant pice of kit by the way, thank you Scythe ! martop |

Hallo
