Hi,

there are no problems on newer Gigabyte boards. The only thing ist the old story about memory slot compatibility and high heatspreaders. If you use memory like OCZ Reaper, the cooler maybe block the first slot.

cheers

The Mugen does fit on the Gigabyte GA-EP45 Extreme.
The problem with high heatsink memory modules is an issue (OCZ Reaper modules) but they do fit if you insert them carefully.

Hi there!

tRbz: It depends on the memory, if it is Dominator, it might work slightly, but if it is normal or the value ram, then it should be fine for sure.

marcus60: Thanks for confirming. The OCZ Reaper are known to be a problem with Mugen Series and lots of other coolers. Thamks for confirming though, I'll add the link to the list. Hope you enjoy your Mugen

SocialUser:
Mugen CPU Cooler should be compatibile to the Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4. I could not make the real test, but looks like the usual layout that fits. The Cooler will be mounted horizontal when seeing it inside a pc tower case.So either the fan needs to be on the short sides or you have to use teh vertical airflow...

Default Mugen 2 Compatible with Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2

I can confirm that the Mugen 2 fits fine on a Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2 motherboard. I'm using short RAM modules, so I can't comment on the fit with tall RAM.

I have the motherboard and Mugen 2 installed in an Antec Solo case and there
are no clearance problems. The cooler orientation is "correct", that is, the cooler is oriented such that the airflow is horizontal and out the back of the case with the longer axis of the cooler oriented vertically.

A nice cooler with a very quiet fan. Thanks.
