Hi I joined this forum specifically to add this message :-).

I just bought the ninja mini coupled with an Asus M3A78-EMH-HDMI (AM2+) mobo, and they're compatible. The fan would stay on top of the RAM dimms, but I use it in fanless mode. Any taller than standard DIMMs will prove to be a compatibility problem.
A minor problem was the mounting due to the placement of the northbridge on the motherboard, where some extra care needs to be taken.

First thing that could interfere is this line of capacitors parallel to the ATX I/O shield but as virtually every manufacturer of boards with P35 chipset Abit will also be using rather low capacitors so mounting of Ninja and Mini Ninja should be safe concerning this point.

RAM slots are "far" away from the CPU socket but with Ninja I'd guess the fan will hang above the slot closest to the socket - so don't use RAMs modules with large heatsinks/heatpipes there. No probs concerning this with Mini Ninja expected.

BUT: The chipset heatsink left of the CPU socket is hughe! This could be a real problem. Look at the pics on this page: Review Image » Abit IP35-E Socket 775 Motherboard - Overclockers Club
It is really high. Could fit with Mini Ninja but could be a problem with Ninja. It would be nice to know the height in mm.

Bye Oli

Hi Kimpsu, should fit - when you have the Mainboard already, you can measure it by yourself: Ninja PLUS Dimensions and Compatibility

Hello newuser, for you it's the same

Please report, when it fits!

Cheers,
Stefan

I am just wondering if the retention clip for LGA775 on the Cu model (which is different to rev b and rev a models) will clear the capacitors on the motherboard, as the retention bracket is fairly large? Other than that the cooler will fit just fine.

Hi Kimpsu,

it should fit - but it is impossible to be 100% sure only from pictures.

Cheers,
Stefan
