Default SY9225SL12M-P defect

Hello,

we are using the model described above not within a PC (Motherboard), but in an self-developed device with an self developed electronic. The Fan is powerd with 12V and controlled with 5V PWM Signal (25kHz) and is working for years now, but we have 2 defect fans, both with the same defect: Fans are not working anymore and have very high current consumption on 12V line.

The PWM Signal is not very prcise, it is a Little bit smoothed, as you can see in the link.

Have someone an opinio, why thge fan is defect? Could the PWM Signal be the Problem?
