Angry Kama Angle & Crosshair II = Trouble!

hello,

i have some big trouble installing the kama angle on the asus crosshair II, the cooler doesn't fit via the retention modul.

the cooler-snap spans like hell i aborted my installation at the moment and installed the boxed cooler.

what can i do? the clip for am2/am2+ doesn't fit on the board the pressure is much to high, so i can't bring the clips down to lock in the retention modul.

hope someone can help me... installation of the cooler sucks

also the the clip (for pressing the cooler down) hangs directly under the lammel so it can't be reached very bad (not good for installation!) (see the picture for more details)

German-Version:

Hallo,

*siehe bebilderung*

Hello The Night Rider,

thanks for your inquiry.
Could you please try the upper positions of the retention-clip? At the moment, you are using the lowest which is the one with the highest contact pressure.

Cheers,

Hello The Night Rider,

actually you could try our CPU Cooler Stabilzer AM2 which could solve your issues.
Scythe EU GmbH : CPU Cooler Stabilizer AM2

Hi night rider...If you have AMD platform with that default plastic plate like on AM2,Am2+ put both sides of the clamps at position 1 (the lowest) and apply a HELL lot of pressure...I spent 3-4 hours figuring this out..Any other combination you end up locking the cooler in AIR.There is no real touch with cpu..Post some feedback and i can help you..Don't waste now another 13$ for that stabilizer after you spent 54$ on the cooler..
