1. Surely performance will change. The way depends basically on the fan speed you choose for ZM-F2!
2. The original Samurai fan is a 4-pin PWM regulated model. The Zalman is a 3-pin voltage regulated model.
3. So when your board could control the Scythe fan this doesn't necessarily apply for the Zalman. Not all boards can regulate 3-pin fans on the CPU fan header!
4. If the board cannot control the Zalman it will run full speed (12V) all the time = loud. Or you could use the supplied speed reduction adapter from Zalman to lower the rpm - but this also applies for an situation so no faster speed possible in high temp times.
