Default Why not sell heatlanes?

Since the last time the only way for an enthusiast to get these was to buy a SilentBox HDD cooler. Now they're discontinued - being too expensive to manufacture, I guess. So why not strip all the excess parts, keeping the heatlane itself... and the price. I think many people would pay (me - definitely).

P.S. IMHO, sticking to mainstream cooling systems nowadays is a dead end.

Hello EndoSteel,

it's me again: The factory which produces the heatlines sells the heatpipes only for OEM and does not wand to change this, I'm sorry.

Cheers,
Stefan

The problem is it doesn't have a heatlane inside . I guess you have misunderstood me: I dont need an HDD cooler (SQD is ok and the silencers I build myself are even better), I need a source to get heatlanes (ribbon-type heatpipes) and Scythe seems to be the only lead. Unlike conventional pipes, heatlanes are very easy to work with: anyone who's capable of drilling a couple of holes can build a fanless system. Just add heatsinks.
