Question Kaze Jyuni 1900RPM Slip Stream 120mm Fan

Could you please tell me whether the airflow stated on the packaging of this fan (110.3 CFM) is true and is not a lie. I simply cannot believe that a 12cm fan can achieve this airflow.

PS: I am asking this because I have been told that some manufacturers lie about the airflow.

Even those who don't lie might use different measurement techniques, so these figures are not very helpful anyway. Moreover, max flow is measured at zero backpressure - a condition you'll never achieve in a real-life PC system.
BTW, how do you know how much CFM do you need?

P.S. Yes, a 120mm fan is capable of pushing 110CFM, even a 92mm fan is (check out the specs for Delta FFB-0912EHE, for example). But everything comes at a price - higher flow rates mean higher noise levels.

I dont know how much airflow I need, however there is no air circulation in the bottom of my case. Because of that the temperatures right now are: GPU=66°C(without games, there is also a crap heatsink on my NVIDIA GeForce 6200 trubocache-old...I know) Hard drive=28°C [goes up to 40/45°C] (And I have only switched my pc on, 15 mins ago).
And my normal CPU temperature is........52-56
°C (being lowered by speedfan[a nightmare to set up though]). Even with my small PC experience i know that these temps are high.
So all I did is find the fan which has got the most airflow. Question time: Will I be able to control this fan from a program called speedfan???? Because I do not need the fan running at full revs all the time.

That's a question that is connected to your mainboard! If your mainboard supports regulation on 3-pin fans AND if SpeedFan supports the chipset of your mainboard you can control it.

Yes, my motherboard does support this feature. Also, speedfan supports my chipset, so I am able to control my CPU fan. Will I be able to control my fans if:

The fan selected is my CPU fan. If speedfan shows those 2 free slots, does that mean I can install another 2 fans?
PS: If it says PWM mode, do I need to buy a PWM fan or can I use the 3-pin and still control it?

Hey,

Speedfan major control is PWM, if you have the PWM fan, it will work better. I think you can not control the fanspeed with the software, as this is restricted by the Motherboard. Please check your motherboard for that. Optional you can use a fan controller like Kaze Master, then you have the full control.
