Default Sensor Wiring on Kaze Server

Hi, I've just bought the KS01 and it's my first time installing a fan controller. I have a couple of questions.

Is the orientation of the sensor cables critical? i.e. the + and - pins. I think the + pin is on the left for each of the connectors as you look at the back of the KS and the install instructions look that way too. I would just like to be sure before putting everything together in the case and powering up.

Also, any advice on where to put the sensors?

Thanks.

Hi pipdrums,

Thanks a lot for your message and the interest in Scythe items.

The temperature sensor could be connected either way, that doesn't really matter according to my knowledge. You could connect it as shown in the manual, to be more precise but then it should not change the value temperature.

Possible spots to measure are Northbridge, Southbridge, Hard Disk, various spots on the VGA (depending on what matters for you most), MOSFETs and possible RAM.

Cheers,
Andy

Default Sensor tape not sticking

Hi Andy,

Many thanks for your reply. I'm now having problems getting the tape to stick. It is just not sticky enough to keep the sensors in place.

Do you have any suggestions? Is there tape available which is more adhesive and resistant to high temps.?

Cheers
