what can I say. I've installed it as normal without the usbstvs100.exe. Plugged in -> boot PC -> Windows 7 search for drivers -> Windows 7 installed drivers and asks for a restart. Pc restarts and different cards successfully read.

It was Win 7 Ultimate X64
I tried this way several times - but windows always displayed "unknown device". Is it possible to upload the required driver-file(s) for the YD-8V08?

or maybe this will work, translate by yourself:

This is a good point, and it may help some people, but this did not help me. Like someone in another thread, I'm getting an unrecognized driver error, and the installation is failing. The green light goes on, on the reader, but it does not work otherwise. This seems to be a problem with Windows 7 64 because I didn't have any problems with Vista 64.

I guess it will not help if I'm telling you that I don't have any problems with WIN 7 64bit

I wish it would I don't know what's causing the problem, but I'm not the only one. And there are people who aren't experiencing the problem at all, so that's probably making it very hard for Scythe to understand the issue.

HA! If the green light glows continously the floppy-IDE cable my be twisted or rather be connected wrong at the floppy side. Turn the connector 180 degrees and connect it again. Is the power supply cable safely connected? Did you try another one? Is the floppy recognized at the BIOS or BIOS promt? Floppy A and 1,44 MB? Same with the internal USB connector on Mainboard.
