Concerning latest Scythe US news
Due to a message on Scythe US webpage, news are spreading that Scythe will close its' production. This is not true. Scythe is restructuring its' company - leading to a temporarily close-down of US office. Up to now, Scythe US office is not a part of Scythe Group. All other branches of Scythe Group are not affected of restructuring measures. Scythe Europe, Scythe Japan, Scythe Taiwan and Scythe China will remain as usual. For US costumers Scythe Taiwan will take over temporarily. Please contact Hank Peng (hankp@scythe.com.tw). We apologize for the confusion. New "Republic of Gamer" boards (Asus) are equipped with the new X-Socket™ system. The X-Socket™ structure allows the installation of LGA1366 compatible CPU coolers on a LGA2011 socket. Benefits are evident: LGA1366 CPU Coolers can be easily migrated to the new board. At present, X-Socket™ comes with Rampage IV Extreme / Formula Series Mainboards. Presently, Scythe LGA1366 compatible CPU Coolers are tested for their compatibility with X-Socket™ architecture. Scythe CPU coolers found to be compatible with X-Socket™ can be found at: http://event.asus.com/2011/rog/X-Socket/p14scythe.htm.
