Hello,
I have had a look through the forums and couldn't find an answer to my question. I have a socket 478 and want to know if the Zipang will fit. My motherboard has tall cylindrical capacitors(?) to the left of the socket which could be an obstacle, because of the way the copper pipes come out of the Zipang. My motherboard looks like the one on the left in the link below(vertical positioned retention): CNPS7700-478MB_list Ok so this is what i would like to know: I would like to know if it is possible to rotate the Zipang through 90/180/270 degrees and that will only be possible if the bottom contact surface is a square and not a rectangle. I hope this makes sense. Many thanks, mrbix ps. if the Zipang won't fit can you recommend another Scythe heatsink? (I'm looking and both the Katana and the Kabuto seem possible). |

mrbix,
there should be no problems on your motherboard with the Zipang. And you can also rotate the cooler itself in 90° steps. Cheers Chris
