Exclamation Zipang mount on a M-ATX MSI board (pic included)

Hey,

I've bought the Scythe's Zipang with confidence. But after more research I have my doubts. Did some reading about the max width on a M-ATX board and have a picture here for you to view. The PC is from a retailer but what a mess they made. So I have to correct it, anyways.

Can anyone help me with this?

Hi,

Sorry. Had to be more specific. I've also sent a mail with more details about this setup to your technical support.

It's an MSI PM8PM-V (M-ATX). The computer is not mine and this computer is far away so I can't test it now, but tomorrow. Because I am going to do this tomorrow you (or anybody) can really help me.

If there are more questions please reply. And thanks for your help!

Hello feza,

I just discussed this issue with a colleague, we both think that Zipang will fit.

Cheers,
Stefan

Great!

I'll be back with my experience on this board and the Zipang. That will be tomorrow.

Thanks again!

Hey,

There was only one side of the Zipang which worked. If I am correct it was the side where the heatpipes were the most on the left side on the mounted CPU Socket. There was a space of 1,5cm between the PSU and zipang on the other side. The other side wasn't possible due to the width of the Zipang.

There is however one problem which I heard today. The PSU broke down because of some major added upgrades to the computer. Added some more "heavy" components. The PSU was from a generic OEM supplier which was just not up to specification.

But there is also some other news. The computer will propably get an upgrade from me with a scenario just like the other one. I'll gladly take some pictures for you folks for analyses and such.

Peace out,
