Hi all,
I have just realised that my server was running about a month (!) with the fan of the Zipang stopped (and temperature well above 75 Celcius), altough no problem in running the system. (It is the same system described here: Installation and temperature problems...) So, I went on site today, open the cover and realised that the fan was indeed not spinning. I sniped it with my finger, and turned with difficulty - as if it was stack, but after moving it with my finger it started spinning again. I have monitored it for half a day, with auto fan control disabled from the BIOS (which should give the fan its maximum speed). It runs around 400-700 rpm. So my question is: where can I find a replacement? Is there a fan from scythe that can replace the original one in Zipang? I have the cooler for about two years (so no warranty). Any ideas/suggestions? |

Hello petasis,
without warranty you can order the fan for 5 Euro. Please send us a support request - Request: CPU Kühler, Lüfter, Lüftersteuerung, PC Netzteile von Scythe Regards, OKI
