Zipang + 1155 socket: Possible ?

Hello,

I have a Zipang (Rev. 1) and i ll buy a new Intel processor i7 2600K (Sandy Bridge).

I want know if exist a conversion kit for LGA 775 (Core 2 Duo E6700) to 1155 socket.

I have the same problem. I can get a
INTEL LGA775/1366, 478 model and need a 1155! The cooler was buyed at 30.09.2009

Is there a conversion kit to buy?

Hello,

you can use the Zipang 2 with LGA 1156 Socket it´s 100 percent compatible. The VTMS Clips in the package worked fine with 1156. Problem was that the Socket LGA 1156 come very late and the Zipang 2 had after release the new VTMS clips integrated (nearly 3/4 year before release LGA1156), but on the release time from Zipang 2 we can´t make puplic that it´s compatible with LGA 1156. Now we can after official release from Intel

Does it mean, the cooler is allready build for the 1155?

Hi, if anyone still need info on it, i just want to confirm that Zipang rev 1 can be mounted on 1155 with "Mugen 2 1156 conversion kit" (SCCSMG2-1156) i bought yesterday. It fits Zipang on 1155.

Any scythe cooler with lenght of 22mm or 44mm between mounting points holes can be mounted with it.

But the 3 pin fan is not up to date and so I've changed it to an low noise 4 pin one ...
