Default Scythe Slip Stream 140 pwm adjustable
Can fans be plugged directly to the fan header on the motherboard and is managed by PWM without using the bracket.

As far as I know the bracket is connected the same way as it was done for the 120 mm model with adjustable PWM so: NO. The wires are not plugged so you cannot remove the bracket without cutting and reattaching a plug etc.

Is there any news on this?

It would be nice to be able to control two of those PWM adj+vr fans with one bracket instead of installing one bracket for each of them. e.g. for dual fan cpu coolers
