Default Slipstream 1900RPM with Scythe Kaze-master fan controller.

Hi.

I will be building a new PC soon and I would like to know if the Slipstream 1900RPM model fan can be very quiet/silent when used with the Kaze-master fan controller.
What RPM will I be able to turn the fan down to using the fan controller?

The PC will be in my bedroom so I want it to be quiet when I sleep, but I would like it to be able to shift a good amount of air when gaming, etc.

I am trying to decide if the 1900RPM is going to be too noisy and if the 1200RPM will be a better option. I don't mind about noise levels too much when gaming and I realise that at the full speed it will not be quiet, but as long as I can silence it using the fan controller when I sleep then it will be OK.

Also, why is the 1600RPM slipstream so rare? Here in the UK it doesn't even seem to be available.

Many thanks in advance.

Hello ChrisBUK,

sorry for my late respond.

With the 1900er Slip Stream you have a powerfull allrounder. I checked it at a Kaze Master: the fan starts at approx 700 rpm minimun, than it is possible to go down to 500-600 rpm. That is more than quiet. You only here the fan when your ear is 1 cm near the fan.

So the 1900er are perfect when you need the power and also want the silence.

There was a high demand on this fans so our stock go down, but now they should be available.

Kind regards,
Christopher - Scythe EU Hamburg

Hi Christopher.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for my very late response to your message. I completely forgot I started this thread and have since ordered the 1200RPM model!
I'm sure I'll be happy with them but if I don't think they shift enough air for my needs I will just sell them on and get the 1900RPM model instead.
I should hopefully be getting my new components in about a week (or maybe just after Christmas) so until then I won't know if the 1200RPM will be powerful enough or not.

I'll let you know when I finally build my computer.
