Low profile fan from Shuriken?

I'm building a small media box with limited space. Because the standard small fans generate a lot of noise, I want to replace them with a big silent version, by drilling a hole in the upper side of the case.

The problem is that the case cannot hold a large fan with 25mm height. I'm interested in the fan on the Shuriken cooler though, because it might be slim enough to fit above the VIA motherboard. I'd prefer to put the fan inside the case instead of on top of it.

Any idea if it is sold separately? Or is there another model with limited height?

We wills ell it separate to the market. There will be even a 120mm version soon. So you just have to wait a bit more, if you can. I have no exact date, but if you want just the fan with 100x100x12mm size, there might be a different way. It depends on what you prefer.

These 100x12mm fans are becoming available, including a low speed version. They come with a bracket to mount on a hard drive.

Add this to the FWIW department..... the two Scythe 100x12mm fans that are now available from Directron in the USA, appear to be normal 3-pin fans. The 100x12mm fan that came with my HSF combo is a 4-pin PWM fan.

So Scythe has at least three different fans of this size available....
