I currently have a Sapphire IPC-am3dd785g motherboard which is cooled by a dreadingly loud AM3 stock cooler. According to this review:
AMD Based Nettop Is Real: Athlon II X2 250u CPU and Sapphire IPC-AM3DD785G Mainboard Review. Page 3 - X-bit labs the normal Shuriken barely fits (its heatpipes are touching the (normal-height) RAM. I am currently looking for a good cooler to put on this board inside a Silverstone SG05 (which has a max of 82mm for a CPU cooler) and found the BIG Shuriken to be a very good performer in numerous tests on the net. Now before I go out and buy myself a BIG Shuriken, I want to know if it will fit if the normal Shuriken only barely fits? EDIT: I found this thread Big Shuriken dimensions but the pic by sumo is unavailable unfortunately. Maybe someone can provide a mirror? Last edited by Thrackan; 04-19-2011 at 12:57 PM. |

Just make sure you put the RAM in BEFORE the cooler...
Linear Mode
