Height for Setsugen2 restricted, does it fit?

Hi there,

now that the Setsugen2 has finally arrived and is available with European retailers, I got a question regarding the height of the cooler. From the product page, I take it that it is 33mm high. However, in a review I read that the SS2 slightly exceeds the default two slot configuration.
To illustrate, this is the situation in my case:


With 3.3cm, there would be now problem at all, as from the PCB down to the bottom of the case, there is about 4.7cm of space. With the graphic card installed, the space between the cooler and the case you see in the picture is about 1cm. Can anyone or Scythe staff confirm that the SS2 is going to fit in there or is this too tight?!? I guess there should be about 2-3mm 'breathing space' for the fan.
Some criticism regarding the fan though: As you see, in my configuration the fan controller to be fixed in one slot doesn't work at all. Fortunately, I have a PWM slim fan lying around from the Big Shuriken that I could attach to the power connector of the graphics card and hope that the fan will last a while. Is there any way to purchase the Slipstream Slim PWM fan separately or would I have to go with the slim 3-pin version, when the fan dies?

also der Setsugen 2 hat eine Bauhöhe von 33 mm, von Bodenplatte bis zum Lüfter sind es 33 mm =) Ich würde dir dann empfehlen einen Slip Stream Slim 120 mm Lüfter per 3-Pin Anschluss nachzurüsten oder du kannst auch alternativ den Lüfter des Big Shuriken mit PWM Funktion für 9,95 Euro inkl. Versand bei uns erwerben.

Hi Oki,

dank Dir für die Info . Dann wird der Kühler wohl reingehen. War mir schlichtweg nicht ganz sicher, wie die 33mm exakt zu messen sind bzw. hat mich eines der auf Geizhals gelisteten Reviews bezüglich der Höhe stutzig gemacht.
Sollte ich den Slipstream Slim PWM benötigen (der alte rattert leicht, mal schauen), werde ich mich bei Dir bzw. Deinen Kollegen nochmal melden.
