Hi, i wonder if the Samurai ZZ first version (not the rev.b) is ok for the socket LGA 1155 ? I would like to use it with my I5 2550K .
Some sellers on the web indicate it's only made for 478/775 and 1336 ? Am i wrong ? And what is new on the Rev B version comparing the First ZZ version ? The LGA 2011 ? Thanks for your help ! |

Hello hasselblad,
the Samurai ZZ (SCSMZ-2000) fits on the sockel 1155 too - no problem. You can use the Push-Pin Clip for Intel. The sellers don't updated ther product descriptions. You can install the Samurai ZZ on a sockel 2011. But you need additional parts (2 rentention brackets + 4 screws) for installing. This you can order over a support-request for a little money. The Revision B has this parts.

hi, i'd like to know whether the recent model of Samurai ZZ (Rev B) is still compatible with an old Intel mainboard based on chipset 865 (socket 478).
it's my second working horse running in dual boot mode under Debian and Windows XP. unfortunately, i was too late for buying the good and old discontinued SCSMZ-2000 model. i am satisfied with that PC, but tired from the noise of the box Intel fans for both 3 GHz 2 core Pentium 4, and the 2.8 Ghz Celeron compatible with that slot. Shuriken Rev. B fan is faster, but it's not so quiet as Samurai ZZ. thanks in advance. Last edited by quaxter; 02-05-2013 at 11:29 AM. |

Hello quaxter,
you need also for a socket 478 mainboard the bracket for this socket. This bracket isn't included with the Samura ZZ Rev.B. But you can ask by a Support Request for this bracket. We have currently some of them.

dear Mugen3Dirk,
thank you for the immediate reply to my question. i live in Kiev, Ukraine. is there any need to contact with European support service for getting the relevant brackets for installing Samurai ZZ Rev.b on 478, or i can solve the problem with our local retailers or support? thanks once more. |

Hello quaxter,
I guess, you don't have a change to get the bracket from a local dealer (but you can try it of course). You need to contact the support of the Scythe EU (Support Request) for this bracket.
