Cant get screws in my SQD2.5" (to mount in case)

This sounds like the same problem, but my german is very bad Link

But I can not get SCQ installed in my Lian Li V2110b using the normal screws I use for all my other drives. The screwholes are too small, I have tried with all kinds of screws and no one fits.
Are you using a none standard form? Because the mounting mechanism of my case makes me incapeable of using any other screws than those coming with my case (Which have standard size as they fit in all my other 3 drives)

A picture of mine though without screws in the red holes at that moment, they are not the problem though, only the blue marked ones.

Is there anything I can do?

No support on this matter?

Hello MechOz,

Sorry for our late respond.

We discuss this topic allready in German with other users and so the only thing I can say is: The quiet drive device based on the standard screws and holes. We can not support all the types some manufacturers develop for there own specific cases. its impossible. Sorry for that.

In this case you can make now holes for your screws or you trie to use the original screws.

If you have any aditional questions - let me know.

Kind Regards

Well the screws from my case matches all my harddrives, so why they can't go into the SQD if that supports the standard size screw fittings I fail to understand

Hello MechOz,

The SQD was designed to fit in normal 3.5 inch bays. And there are two types (standards) of screws. One with bigger thread and one with a smaller one. The SQD uses the smaller one. Normaly there are no problem in normal 3.5 inch bays but Lian Li uses the bigger ones for there bay system. Thats a problem we knew already and we try to fix it with upcoming items.
