I guess you'll be needing a fan to blow on the SQD if you want to keep the drive cool. I tested the box with a 30W 10K RPM SCSI HDD and it hit 55C (24C ambient temp) at full load. Attaching a 120mm fan at minimal RPM dropped the temp down to 44C.

Hi,
We were runnign Quiet Drives at exhibitions with the Raptors but I don't remember the temperature. It should be "ok" but if you have a decent airlfow inside the case including the Quiet Drive, it should improve the performance, as EndoSteel reported. Greetings, Andy
