Exclamation Problems with SATA adaptor

I bought the 3.5" Quiet Drieve and put a sata II drive in it.
I had system crashes all the time. Because all components in my computer were new, it was very hard to find the cause.
In the end it turned out to be the little adaptor cable.
I removed the adaptor and put the power and sata cable direrctly into the case. Since then everything runs perfectly.

I don´t know if the adaptor cable only runs with sata1 drives or if my adaptor simply was broken,
but since i found a solution for my problem, this thread is more information than a question.

Hi and thanks for your inquiry and the information.

The adapter could be the cause, if one of the lines was damaged. Sata1 and Sata2 are basically the same with some small differences, whoich does not cause any trouble or compatibility issues.

We can send you the new cable, if you could email me the invoice copy and your address. If you want to leave it as it is, it is fine as well.

Thanks for your support and trust in Scythe items.

Cheers,
Andy
