Hello,
I've got a problem that my Quiet Drive doesn't absorb any HHD vibration. I have only limited space in my case and I wanted to mount it in a 5,25'' bay, but the rubbers are way to hard to absorb any vibrations effectively. Does anybody know a solution for that? Or is it possible to get alternative rubbers ? Overall I'm quite happy with the SQD-1000, only the vibrations are annoying me. I tried to put the Quiet Drive on a sponge outside the case and it was really much better, but that' no long term solution. Hope you can help me, Adrian |

Hello.
The vibration can be only stopped to a decent level. It also depends on your HDD how much you can go down the vibration. The rubber we have used is the softest that could be used so far. If it get's any softer the stability will suffer and it might happen that the rubber ripps off. There might be an alternative to reduce the vibrations. Due to a limited space there is also not much space to use bigger rubber enclosure. Greetings

Hi,
I guess that you need to have a way to secure it and make the whole thing safe to be carried and not to crash anywhere or move freely or by accident. If you put it on sponge it can stay like that but it is not what you can call a "final solution" for your PC. For some users it should still be OK. I don't even have something like a "case" for my perosnal PC... Greetings, Andy
