I was wondering if you had minimum starting voltage & rpm for Scythe slim 100mm fans.
Kaze Jyu 100mm Case Fan (1000rpm) SY1012SL12L Kaze Jyu 100mm Case Fan (2000rpm) SY1012SL12M Also if you had this data for the Scythe ITA KAZE SCIT-1000 .. (though its 1000 RPM, 15.23 CFM spec make it look the similar to the 1000rpm Kaze Jyu) I am trying to make an USB powered notebook cooler using this fan (even if that wasn't the fan's original intention). 5V starting is needed as well as a slim form factor. |

Hello, do you know anything about the rpm of the Scythe Kaze Jyu Slim 2000rpm version at 5V?
How does it performances in terms of static pressure and noise level [@ 5V) compared do the 1000rpm version (@12V, of course). I was planning do buy 2 of them to use it for cooling my graphiccard, but I want some resources (summer ect.), so I've thought the best would be to buy the 2000rpm version and fix it at 5V. Thank your for your help! |

hi,
the Slim 2000 runs at 900rpm @ 5V so you got more room to higher speeds with the 2000 rpm model. Static preasure etc. is the same like the 1000 rpm @ 900 rpm. cheers, chris
