Red face What size screws do I need for the mini kaze?

Hi, I have just bought a mini kaze fan to fit to my Gigabyte GA-MA790X-DS4 motherboard, but the fan does not come with any screws to fit it to the NB heatsink. I was wondering where you can get the right size screws.

Hello Mr_T,

normaly the newer northbridge heatsinks are not designed for a fan. So you need a DIY solution. For this you need a screw which is a bit longer than the thickness of the fan is. And the screw have to fit between the fins of your nb heatsink. Or you can use glue, cable binder or rubber bands.

The screws which are provided with the mini kaze are for case mounting.

Kind Regards - Chris
