Default Differences between Kama FLEX and S-FLEX

What are the differences between Kama FLEX and S-FLEX? Both have S-FDB bearing and the blade design seems the same, but MTBF of Kama FLEX is 120.000 hours while MTBF of S-FLEX is 150.000 hours. So, what is the difference?

Thank you very much.

Hello ekerazha,

the S-FDB bearing is technically slightly different between both fans - whereas the S-Flex is using the completely re-designed dynamic S-FDB, Kama Flex is using another form of S-FDB.

Cheers,

Thank you for your reply.

Would it be possible to have the scheme of the Kama FLEX bearing structure like for the one you can find on the S-FLEX product page?

Hi there at Scythe!
Like ekerazha, I'm curious about more precise difference between fans bearings.
Are those difference affecting noise?
Also, I just purchased a 1500RPM KAMA FLEX which is rated as 80000H MTBF on its package rather than the 120000H advertised on your website...
Some things aren't clear, aren't they?
Thanks for precisions.
Alex.

Hello ekerazha,

The differences lies in the detail. So the S-Flex has a rotor suction magnet. There's an extra magnet that keeps the rotor in place. The IC used for the control of the fan is also a low noise IC. Thats something the Kama Flex doasnt have.

I hope this helps you a little bit.

Kinf regards
