Default Foot switch + extra mouse buttons

I just bought a USB triple foot switch, and was impressed to see that you can bind absolutely any standard keyboard key to it. However, it doesn't seem to be possible to bind:
  • Middle mouse
  • Scroll wheel up/down
  • Extra mouse buttons (mouse3, mouse4 etc).
  • Media keys (e.g. volume up/down keys found on many keyboards).
Also, arrow keys do not display properly when bound; they show up as a letter u with various accents (it won't let me copy+paste them here). And space inconsistently shows up as an actual space " " when you first bind it, but as the word "Space" after you "get defined key". They all work correctly once bound though.

Another problem I noticed is that you can't press multiple pedals at once. e.g. if you press and hold a pedal, then press a second pedal, the first pedal will automatically be released even if you still have your foot on it.

I suppose fixing that would require a firmware update, but I don't know if that's even possible.

Isn't there an admin to tell us something about this? I would like to bind my mousewheel on a paddle, but i cant! Could i fix it? Or would it be fixed after a software update?

is there really no way to link the middle-click (wheel-click) from the mouse to the pedal?

Hello fusspedal,
