Hello folks,
as there is no generic English speaking forum I'll post it here in the off-topic section: For those of you still doubting the reliability and stability of push pins and prefer the bolt through installation or the Socket 478 method (like I do) you should consider a look at these videos showing some of Scythe's coolers installed with pushpins (even the "monster" Orochi): YouTube - Stabilität von Push Pins - Stability of Push Pins - Scythe Mugen YouTube - Stability of Push Pins - Scythe Orochi Quite funny I believe. It seems as if the mainboard would break before a single pushpin would give up. Nevertheless pushpins need to be installed properly and some times the plastic of pushpin construction fails so personally I'd still advise to use CPU Stabilizer Kit for the bigger Scythe products.Cheers Oli

Interesting, very interesting.
I'm not a fan (...) of 775 push/pins, and I admit I'm a bit surprised to not see the heatsinks fly away through the room... I think the briggest problem for push/pin installation is the plastic won't stay in place after a few installation. Ok, nobody needs to change the CPU or the mobo every week, but... Thanks for the vids ! --- Scythe's employees have to take a pause, martyrize a card like that, inhuman !

OMG !
Poor Orochi... But I'm not very enthusiast with this vids, because I think the Orochi is too big, and the construction not very "stable". Gravity center is too much high, so I think it's normal. But, the case seems to be very solid. |

It's quite amazing that the pushpins are able to mount Orochi to the Board that solid... Cool vid!
