Hello hiroshige.

In answer to "quite funny that you started this posting exactly when our Christmas holidays have begun" please check number #8 message and it's posting date. Message #9 is because I just got the holidays too and I am checking pending businesses and unanswered ones.

I am very happy for you If you just came from your favorite bar. Truly! I love people having social life. But ... I don't think It's a good idea to answer customers after having some beers, without a sleep and/or doing it in such a rude way. Hope more professionalism next time.

On the other hand, assuming that I am a bad person and I just stick the backplate on a dead motherboard. Did I also soldered the backplate to get current continuity with the board ? Or that problem only appears on already dead motherboards.

"there are no other users here inside of this forum who have the same problem as you" That's why I opened a new thread!
And please keep in mind that motherboards' models are different and so their pins disposition.

Happy holidays.

Hello metalamin and merry X-Mas!

Actually, you expect professionalism from me after blaming us for producing Backplates which are sticking to mainboards and destroying them. This doesn't make any sense, because when we would do so, this could get really expensive for us.

After message #7, everything was said by my colleague Shinigami. We both are very addicted to computers and as we are working for Scythe and identifying very much for our company, we both use Scythe products very frequently and of course our friends do also so. We never got any information about Mainboards being destroyed by Backplates and the reason why Ninja Rev. B comes without backplate is NOT because of this issue. As you can see, the Universal Retention Kit - which was shipped to customers with a high frequence - came with the SAME baseplate and we never got any issues.

So my guess still is: Your mainboard is surely defective, but there is no correlation between this defect and the backplate.

Cheers,
Stefan - Scythe EU Hamburg
