Default Ninja 2 - Bolt through mounting options?

hello, i have a ninja 2 as the title says, msi p6n sli as my mobo and a q6600 with b3 stepping. with my case horizontal (mobo essentially laying down) my idle temps drop from 48C to 44C compared to standing up (4 degree diference idle). at load with prime95 im hitting 75C standing up, and about 69C with the case horizontal. the pushpin design on the ninja 2 is really hampering efficiency. it is definately not getting as much contact/pressure as it would be with a more efficient mounting option. i did some searching but wasnt able to really come up with anything, besides possibly removing the pushpins and installing the TR bolt through kit, but since the ninja2 doesnt have the slots down the side it would be impossible to screw the bolts in. anyone have any ideas? i read somewhere the xigmatek crossbow might work.

anyone have insight please?

The TR 775 kit works definitely. But it is difficult to install as Ninja 2 no longer offers the possibility to screw from top with a log screw driver.

Scythe's new socket 775 kit with scres will also work.

I have a friend in one of our forums who improvised something from an old backplate, 4 screws Φ5 and 4 nuts.
It's in Romanian, but you have some pictures.

Hello guys,

by the end of the month we will publish our CPU Stabilizer 775 which allows bolt-through-mounting!

Cheers,
Stefan

I assume this will also work on Zipang and other Scythe coolers?

Any idea when the US retailers will be getting stock?

Hello bgavin,

for US, I can't say anything because we are doing support for EU.

The Stabilizer will work with all of our coolers.

Cheers,
Stefan
