Default Again about compatibility

Hi!
My friend had mobo GigaByte GA-M55S-S3 and going to buy Ninja PLUS rev. B cooler. Is it compatible?
(see this mobo photo here: http://www.overclockers.ru/images/la.../m55s-s3-b.jpg and it's angle photo in attach. )

P.S. I've tried to check it by myself, but unfortunatly I"ve met difficulties with demount of my Ninja+ cooler from my mobo Asus A8N (it stands so firm, that I can"t unhook the clamps even making efforts! So another question is: what is the better way/ trick to demount this cooler? It seems, that to mount Ninja+ is much more easier then demount... . It especially interesting in case of oncoming upgrade)

Thank you in advance!

Hi there .
I have installed the Ninja Rev. B on a GigaByte GA-M55S-S3 , you just have to slightly bend 2 capacitors that otherwise touch the heatpipes in order to obtain a clearance of about 1mm which is enough .
Emphasize on "slightly" , the capacitors just touch the heatpipes , they won't even trouble you when you mount the heatsink and you have to look really close to see they come in contact.

Hope that helps.

Hi there and welcome.

Demounting the Ninaj PLUS Rev. B:
Your motherboard is using socket AM2, there is a very easy trick to detach the cooler. Just lose the Retention kit Screws a bit, then the preassure will go down and you can take it off easy.

The capacitor's are an issue right now, because they are too close and there is no real way yet to turn the clip because the heatpipes one one side are simply too wide. The smller Ninja Mini can have the clip turned by 90°.

Greetings,
Andy
