Default Ninja Plus Rev A and Universal Retention Kit

Hi there. I have been doing a lot of searching, but haven't found exactly the answer i am looking for.

I have been VERY happy with my Ninja Plus rev A on a 939 platform for some time.
I have recently purchassed an AM2 ASUS M2A-VM HDMI mobo which is compatible with the Ninja revB.

Will the universal retention kit - or anthying else you suggest allow me to use the same cooler?

Hi and welcome a_punker!

It's a question I can give you an answer for. Universal Retention Kit is not compatible to socket AM2 at this moment, so it would not solve your problem. A possible solution is on a market and until now it seems a few people have used this advise to mount Ninja Rev. A on their AM2 Mobos. You need the AM2 retention module from ThermalRight but it has to be Rev. C. Here is a link to a possible source for your purchase
Thermalright AM2 Retention Modul Rev.C

I hope this answers your questions, if not let me know.

Cheers,
Shinigami

Hi,

For Thermalright AM2 Kit I would go for the 4-point mounting with 478 clips.
