Default Issues with shipping a Ninja PC

I plan to install a Ninja Plus Rev B with a Thermalright LGA775 Bolt-Thru-Kit on an Asus P5E3 motherboard over an Intel E6850 LGA775 processor.

The Ninja is tall and technically heavier than allowed by the Intel spec.

It occurs to me that the vibration/movement that naturally happens during shipping, combined with the height (leverage) and weight of the Ninja, could damage the motherboard.

Does anyone have experience or thoughts on shipping Ninja-equipped PCs?

Perhaps you should consider using the Universal Retention Kit or even screws for installing the Ninja. This should be much safer than the pushpin method.

Bye Oliver

Thanks Oliver. As I say, I plan to use the Thermalright bolt-through-kit.

I am using the TR Kit with my Ninja and it should be quite safe even if the shipping company is throwing the box around....

Hi!

I did not try the TR Screw mechanism yet, I probably should get one from them to check how it is.

As for shipping, it depends really on more factors but generally the Ninja should be fine if you mount it with the TR Screw mounting and our Universal Retention Kit. But no one can really guarrantee that. Shipping companies might throw the case very unfortunate and it could turn out bad, but this is the "worst case scenario". The motherboard is fixed with screws in few places and it is designed to be flexible so, that should not be a real problem based on my understanding and info.
