Default Difference from Rev a to Rev b?

Hi!
At my shop i wanted to buy the mugen, but it seems to be undeliverable. so the guy told me to take the ninja plus for my quad 6600, he said its also very good one. so i read some articles, but i cant figure out any difference between rev a and b, cause the shop only got rev a. is it worser in cooling? or is the rev b just more compatible to other sockets? i want to OC the cpu to 3 ghz about. is the ninja enough? cause the mugen i read has more "power"

Hi,

we don't sell the Rev. A for a while now, but that is not a big deal. The Rev, B has a different Clip mechanism and also supports socket AM2, which Rev. A does not support.
The clips of Rev. A are absed on Socket 478, so it also has a backplate along with it for socket 775, which a lot of people seem to prefer before LGA775 Push Pins, so that might be an advantage, more pressure, more stable. 3Ghz should be fine with Ninja PLUS, if you can get a decent airflow inside the PC Case. Which Q6600 do you have? Is it a G0 Stepping?

Greets,
Andy

Hi,

yeah G0 is on the market for a while, so should be fine. It has lower TDP, so that is fine even with 800RPM S-FLEX.
