Ninja 2 - retention kit needed AM2
Howdy, I need a retention kit for the Ninja 2 for socket AM2 (GA-MA69G-S3H). Could you recommend one? Thanks!
Background: My PC came with the GA-standard retention stuff removed (!) and a custom built one by the manufacturer which wasnt worth bs. Backplate had been removed.
So I improvised, got the Ninja 2 fixed using my own genius but still without backplate, with bad results: Processor (Athlon X2 5000+) had to be limited to 1GHz otherwise overheat & shutdown in less than a minute. Interestingly, checking the contact of cooler and processor did not reveal any visible spacing. But there must have been some, because redoing the whole thing a little bit more diligently - still no visual difference - the result got better and I now only need a limit at 2GHz.
