Hello all,
I would like to ask a few questions concerning the Ninja 2 and a new system I am about to build. The case is Antec's Mini P180 Asrock MB M3A790GMH and an AMD Phenom II x4 965 processor. My first question is if the Ninja 2 is going to fit in this system and especially the motherboard. The second question is, does Ninja 2 fit the AM3 socket of the processor? It is hard to find here in Greece the Ninja 2 Rev.B and still I don't know if that fits AM3 socket. Thank you in advance, George Last edited by gpontikakos; 09-26-2009 at 12:08 PM. Reason: Typo |

Hello,
for you motherboard you can use the Ninja 2, i think it is no problem with compatibility. Only what we never can tell someone it´s the question about placement in cases. Every one who produce cases have his own system and logic, so we can´t say "Hey with this case, you will have no problem". In this situation i think you try it, whit Antec's Mini P180 and can give some feedback or you calculate the dimensions together if you have the case at home. You can find the dimensions here: Ninja 2 dimensions

Finally the system is build.
Motherboard: ASRock M3A790GMH/128M CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955 RAM: AData 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3-1600 The Ninja 2 Rev. B cpu cooler is fully compatible with this system. Idle temperature is at 31 degrees Celsius. Running some benchmarks to increase the cpu temp, it didn't go over 50 degrees. The coolest thing is that these temps are maintained without the cooler fan installed. |
